Managerized Cheese-head
Posted on July 31, 2009
Hey everyone!!!
Alright, so it’s been forever and a day since I updated, but it was for business purposes, I assure you.
See, with the shooting of the “22″ pilot for Comedy Central came some interest from managers. I’ve been wanting one for some time, and some of my co-stars on “22″ were kind enough to chat me up to their managers! That, coupled with some hustling on my own, lined me up a number of meetings over the past few weeks. I directed the potential managers here to the site so that they can check out pics, resume, video…stuff like that. I didn’t want to blog about which managers I liked, and which ones I didn’t, etc., etc. That’s why I’ve been MIA. But there’s great news…
I HAVE A MANAGER!!! I’m signing with Paulo Andres next Tuesday. He’s with Rothman, Patino, and Andres (RPA). I am really excited to start this next step in my career. I met with other people, but I really thought that RPA (and Paulo) really understood what I was wanting in my career. They’re really down-to-Earth, and are in the process of growing in a huge way! There really can be nothing but great things to come out of this, and I can’t tell you how thrilled I am to bring them onto the team!
No bookings to speak of. My mom and aunt came into town so I was out for a week anyway. I’m still hopeful…and prayerful…that “22″ will get picked up. We won’t hear anything until September so please keep those fingers crossed!!!
I had an audition for Joe Blake yesterday. It was for Toyota. I had to dress up like a Packers fan, which made my Chicago Bear blood boil. I’ve compromised for less. Callbacks are the first week of August. I’d really like to book another national spot. I’d love to book 20!
Voice-Over has been cool lately, an Adult Swim pilot audition and a Disney cartoon. I am LOVING recording from home! It is the best!!!
That’s it…short and sweet.
Getting the manager is truly awesome. I feel a lot of doors will open now, and that a new, active chapter of my career is beginning. I am filled with hope that this momentum can and will be filled with more success.
Woo freakin’ Hoo!!!
Thanks for reading!
